Universities and other institutions that use TOEFL＠scores have begun to set their TOEFL iBT score recommendations or requirements. These initial score standards will be reviewed by the institutions after the first year of testing.（使用托福成绩的大学或其他机构已经开始规定推荐或者必需的TOEFL iBT新托福分数线了。这些初始分数线将在考试的第一年之后进行修订。）
TOEFL iBT provides more information about the applicant's abilities to communicate in an academic English language environment. To make best use of the score information, some institutions plan to set section or skill score requirements either by themselves or in combination with a total score, while others plan to set a total score standard.（TOEFL iBT提供了申请者在学术英语环境中沟通能力的更多信息。为了更好地使用分数信息，一些学校计划自己设置或结合总分设置各部分或能力分数线，而其他学校计划设置总分分数线。）
